Based in Mexico City, Orfeo Quagliata is an industrial designer and glass artist whose work explores the expressive potential of light, color, and movement. His practice moves fluidly between art and design, pushing glass beyond conventional boundaries through experimentation and material transformation.

Born in San Francisco and raised in a family of artists, Orfeo developed a deep sensitivity to glass from an early age, influenced by both his grandmother, a pioneering jewelry designer, and his father, internationally renowned stained-glass artist Narcissus Quagliata. This lineage shaped his approach to craft, innovation, and visual language.

After studying design at the California College of the Arts, Orfeo settled in Mexico City, drawn by its cultural intensity and creative openness. There, he founded Studio Orfeo Quagliata, where he works with his team to create objects, lighting, furniture, jewelry, and large-scale architectural installations.

Through proprietary techniques and constant experimentation, his work transforms glass into dynamic, immersive experiences—where form, light, and color express a sense of energy, discovery, and contemporary life.
